The ISCAME Scientific Programme Committee has the following responsibilities:
- Suggesting keynote speakers and approving the Organizing Committee’s final list of keynote speakers;
- Approving the Organizing Committee’s proposal concerning section profiles and titles;
- Giving feedback to the Organizing Committee on the proposed programme;
- Adhering to the deadlines agreed to with the Organizing Committee;
- Participating in the event.

The ISCAME Organizing Committee has the following responsibilities
- Maintaining contact and coordination with the Scientific Programme Committee;
- Nominating local members to the scientific committee;
- Preparing and issuing the conference announcement;
- Deciding on budget issues, finding sponsors and maintaining budget documentation;
- Proposing and approving conference title and subthemes in consultation and agreement with the Scientific Programme Committee;
- Proposing guest speakers in consultation with the Scientific Programme Committee, subject to final approval by the Scientific Programme Committee;
- Establish and maintain lines of communication with guest speakers;
- Maintaining all contact with guest speakers, participants, institutions, and sponsors;
- Proposing section titles and defining section profiles, subject to final approval by the Scientific Programme Committee;
- Issuing initial programme and updates;
- Defining guidelines for presenters and poster authors;
- Preparing and managing conference website;
- Planning social programme extras;
- Carrying out general secretarial duties.
