Specially recommended for the students enrolled in the BSc in DIETETICS and PUBLIC HEALTH and the MSc in NUTRITIONAL SCIENCE and PUBLIC HEALTH!

This program offers BSc, MSc, and PhD students an interdisciplinary exploration of the world of safe, sustainable, and resilient food chains through a One Health perspective. Discover the following topics:  

  • Food safety and foodborne disease 

  • Water, sanitation, and health
  • Animal-derived products  (livestock)
  • Food waste reuse
  • One Health challenges in food chain

What awaits you: Lectures, case studies, and field visits, as well as roundtable discussions on the future of global food systems—including a hands-on workshop on food by-product recycling! 

Develop your academic skills, build international connections, and discover innovative solutions through the One Health approach.  


Important: University of Debrecen participants in the program can count their participation as an elective course in the fall semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, provided they complete 70% of the program!  The event is free, but registration is required. Please note that participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodations and meals for the duration of the Summer School.
